ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE OPEN CALL 2027

Studio PRÁM, z. s. announces an open call for applications for the 2027 residency program. The residency is intended for international visual artists.

Studio PRÁM offers and Residency conditions:

  • A livable studio with shared sanitary facilities and a kitchen (the space is not acoustically separated from other studios, where members of the studio, including artists with families, work)
  • A shared workspace with members of Studio PRÁM
  • An 8-week residency
  • Residency periods for selected artists:
    • June–July 2027
    • August–September 2027
  • A workshop for working with wood and metal
  • A final exhibition lasting approximately 2 weeks, which is already included within the 8-week residency period
  • Graphic design for the exhibition – poster and materials for online promotion
  • A curatorial text in both Czech and English
  • PR support – press release, promotion on social media (Facebook, Instagram), and more
  • Photodocumentation of the exhibition
  • PRÁM Studio doesn’t cover any of the artist expenditures like: travel tickets, pocket money, and so on.

Application requirements:

  • Residency project proposal (max. 1,800 characters)
  • Portfolio in PDF format (max. 10 MB)
    • The document must not be locked or sent via expiring download links
    • A social media link cannot be accepted as a substitute for the portfolio
  • CV in English including:
    • Date of birth
    • Nationality
    • Education
    • Exhibition history
  • Contact details (full name, address, email)
  • Link to the artist’s website or social media

Application submission:

  • Applications must be submitted electronically by May 17 2026, 23:59 (Prague time)
  • Email: studio.pram.opencall@gmail.com
  • Email subject: Open Call 2027 – artist-in-residence – „Applicant’s Name“
  • Applications submitted late or not meeting the requirements will not be considered for evaluation.

Selection process:

The results will be announced no later than June 14, 2026, on the website (www.pramstudio.cz) and social media. Selected applicants will be notified via email.

Due to the high number of applications, we regret that we are unable to respond to unsuccessful applicants. The selection committee consists of members of Studio PRÁM and the curator of the residency program.
